Hall of Fame
Currently residing in Brookhaven, PA, Shields was intramural director and faculty athletic representative. He was also an assistant varsity basketball coach. Shields also served as a liaison officer and an activity director for the National Youth Sports Progrmas. He is member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He is also a member of Franklin Lodge #58 Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masons. He retired associate professor of Health Physical Education and Recreation. He earned masters degrees in educational administration and in adult and continuing education from Cheyney Univeristy. Shields was born in South Carolina and was reared in New York City.
