Hall of Fame
Charles Jones played basketball for the blue and white from 1986-90. He was a co-captain his sophomore year and was bestowed the honor as a junior and senior.
Since leaving Cheyney Charles played internationally in Chile, Mexico, Indonesia, Taiwan, Peru, Columbia and Argentina. He then played almost four seasons with the famed Harlem Globe Trotters.
Upon finishing his successful playing career, Jones returned to Cheyney to get his degree. Jones currently resides in Beverly NJ with his wife Mary Smith-Jones, a former Lady Wolves basketball standout. He is currently an instructor counselor for the State of NJ, at the New Lisbon Development Center where he has been for the past 13 years working with the developmentally disabled.
Jones is an active member of the “C” Club as well as the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter.
