Hall of Fame
Melissa was recruited to Cheyney by Fred Dukes and played basketball under coached Boyle, Patterson and Owens. For three years she was 1st Team All Conference and also MVP during the same time period. Melissa was an outstanding athlete and during her second year reached 1000 points. She won the Presidential Cup her senior year and served as a graduate assisant coach under Coach Tara Owens. In addition to excelling in basketball, Melissa also earned athletic awards in both volleyball and tennis.
Melissa earned a B.S degree in Psychology from Cheyney University in 1999 and continued her education at John Hopkins University where she received a Master's degreein Education Administration in 2008. She is currently coaching basketball and softball in the Prince George County, Maryland school system where she is a math teacher.
