Chapelle Robinson received her education in the Philadelphia Public Schools. While in high school, she participated in many sports. This led to her being voted "Best Female Athlete" in her 1953 graduating class at Germantown High School.
Chapelle Robinson was a member of the Lady Wolves basketball and volleyball teams as well as being a cheerleader. She was a member of the Athletic Committee and a Freshman May Day Attendant. In 1957, she was voted Best Female Athlete in the Beacon's (yearbook) Who's Who.
Chapelle Robinson was a 1957 graduate of Cheyney. She had a distinguished 35 years career as a teacher with the School District of Philadelphia. The mother of two daughters has belonged to many civic, educational and cutural organizations. She had been active in the NAACP, PUBS, NPCBW, ULG and BWEA, Montgomery County Chapter. Chapelle Robinson's most viable memberships include the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, Educators to Africa and Covenant with Black America which has enhanced her awareness and appreciation of Black History.
Although still an avid sports enthusiast, today she is mainly a spector; however she continues to play tennis.
