Karen Draughn was a star player on the Women's Basketball Team at Cheyney from 1980-1984. In her senior year she became the captain of the team. In 1981 she was a member of the National Sports Festival Team; 1982- NCAA Finalist and in 1984- NCAA Finak Four.
Karen attended Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, Connecticut where she was an outstanding student athlete and received honors as a member of the Cornation Girls All American Team; Class L All State Team; All District and Class L State Champions. Over the years, Karen has coached at the high school and university level and also served as assistant coach for the US National Youth Program. Ms. Draughn is currently employed at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut as supervisor of Applications and Integrations in the Information; System and Technology Department.
