Hall of Fame
Kennard is a 1969 graduate of Cheyney University. He started on the basketball court and track. A member of the 1,000 point club, Kennard was team captain in 1967-68. In 1967, he was part of the 4 x 100 relay team that earned top honors by radio station WDAS with an All Around Athelete Award. In 1966 and 1967 he was listed in Who's Who in Colleges and Universities.
Kennard has worked with speical needs students at the Davidson School, Elwyn, Incorporated for the past 39 years. He was a teacher from 1969 to 1980 and then became a behavioral specialists. He continues to serve in that capacity today. For the past six years, Kennard has organized the Toys for Tots program within his Darby, Pennsylvania community.
