Marty Capasso was four-year starter at defensive end, on the Cheyney State football teams from 1973-1976. Capasso was also a world class amateur heavyweight boxer who captured the Philadelphia Silver Gloves and Atlantic AAU championships during the off-season.
He earned second-team all-PSAC East honors in 1974 as a sophomore and graduated in 1977.
Capasso went on to a professional boxing career and was known as the "Aston Assassin," while compiling a 20-6 career mark.
