The late John Hardnett did not play on the men's basketball team while he attended Cheyney State, but as team manager he was an important asset to the coaches and players.
John Hardnett was a coach, teacher and mentor, who became known as a "Basketball Workout Guru," influenced and impacted many lives from kids he helped get a meal or a place to stay and get into college, to working with NBA stars.
Hardnett worked for over 25 years at the Sonny Hill league's in Philadelphia until his untimely death in May of 2010.
