Hall of Fame
Terry Gilchrist captained the Wolves football team during the 1992 and 1993 seasons. He was one of the best defensive backs in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference during those two seasons. Mr. Gilchrist was athree time All PSAC honoree earning first team accolades in 1992 and 1993. His three interceptions in one game (on two occasions) is still ranked as one of the best defensive efforts in Cheyney history.
Over the course of his career, Gilchrist registered 16 interceptions and more than 200 tackles. He also amassed more than 7000 yards as a punter returner.
Mr. Gilchrsit is a member of Natipnal Society Of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Omega Phi Fraternity since 1992. Upon graduation, Mr. Gilchrist lived and worked in the Baltimore area. In May 2005 he began working for Sprint/Nextel Corporation as an Engineering Operations Manager. He is currrently working in Information Technology office at the Library of Congress.
