Theodore was team captain of the 1985-86 Football Squad and earned the honor of All PSAC Offensive Player of the Week in 1985 against rival Kutztown University. The anchor of the Cheyney offensive line, Gass was a two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) player in both 1985 and 1986. Theorode received attention from the NFL and met with scouts on several different occasions but never signed as a free agent. Off the field, Gass was actively involved in the campus community as a member of Student Government Cooperation Association (SGCA) and the Cheyney Record. He graduated in 1987 and currently resides in Plainfield, New Jersey. Mr. Gass continues to honor his alma mater by promoting the institution and encouraging young people to attend Cheyney.
