Hall of Fame
A lifetime member of Cheyney's National Aluumni Association and the Cheyney "C" Club, Charles played football and was a shot putter on the track team. He earned first place in a dual track meet held at Lincoln Univeristy and placed third in a dual meet at West Chester University. He now bowls and has played on two championship teams.
Charles is a retired Philadelphia public school teacher who taught at the Bache Elementary School for over thirty-five years. In additional to his teaching duties, he wwas a safety sponsor, African American Oratorial and History Bee sponsor and Philadelphia Tribune School of the week sponsor. During his tenure at Bache Elementary, he became the school's fist Buildign Representative and later served as a delegate for both the state and national Federation of Teachers.
A lifetime learner, Charles has taken graduate courses at Rowan, Temple and Saint Joseph's universities, Philadelphia College of Textile and Sciences and Cheynye Univeristy. He is married to Clarabon Isely Logan. Teh couple recently celebrated their forty-third wedding anniversary.
