PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Cheyney University student-athletes Samuel Anojulu and Keyson Dingle have been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Football Team after voting by the sports information offices from 29 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. There were 24 student-athletes named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Football Team.
Penn senior wide receiver Justin Watson was named Performer of the Year and became the first football student-athlete in the 13-year history of the Academic All-Area program to be a three-time Performer of the Year, adding to the lengthy list of records he set during his collegiate career.
R-Sr. Samuel Anojulu is carrying a 3.70 GPA in Business and is on track to graduate later this month. Anojulu was a semifinalist for the coveted William V. Campbell Trophy through the National Football Foundation and will be honored by the Nation Football Foundation, Philadelphia Chapter, Scholar-Athlete banquet.
The Scholar-Athlete Banquet is held each spring on the Villanova campus with scholar-athletes from 10 local colleges and 30 area high schools recognized for academic and athletic achievement.
The Allentown, Pa. native, finished his four-year career with 148 tackles two interceptions a fumble recovery and a score in 2016 at West Chester, had a career-high 72 tackles including five for a loss in 2017,
Sr., Keyson Dingle is carrying a 3.45 GPA in Business and is on track to graduate in May.
Dingle, earned All-PSAC East second-team honors at defensive line in 2017 and was named PSAC-East Defensive Player of the Week with five tackles for loss and two sacks in the home opening victory over Lincoln,
The Bayonne, N.J. native was very consistent in his three years as a starter and finished his career with 208 tackle 23.5 for a loss with six sacks and three forced fumbles.
Anojulu and Dingle will join defensive teammates LB's Jamiel Hines and Chaplin Johnson-Davis in the Fourth Annual FCS Bowl, to be played on Sunday, December 10, inside the Daytona Municipal Stadium, Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Wolves quartet will play for the American team and be wearing the white uniforms under the tutelage of current AFL Albany Director of Football Operation Chris Thompson.
Anojulu will wear his familiar #3 on Sunday.
Hines will wear # 14
Dingle will wear #27
Johnson-Davis will be wearing #34

The FCS Bowl features the best NCAA FCS and HBCU college seniors and is heavily scouted by the NFL and CFL. Last year saw 14 NFL Teams, 5 CFL Teams, and over 30 scouts present. More than 250 players have gone pro from East Preps/ SPIRAL Bowls and combines since 2009. SPIRAL puts on the premier SPIRAL Tropical Bowl each January featuring top FBS seniors as well.
The FCS Bowl is an annual post-season college football all-star game consisting of top players from top FCS and HBCU schools played annually at Daytona Beach Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla. The FCS Bowl showcases All-American and All Conference seniors from around the Nation that travel to the game from over 30 states representing over 100 schools. Players travel to the game from as far as Texas, Arkansas, Oregon, Colorado, Michigan, Utah, South Dakota and more. The FCS Bowl is the elite and only current post-season all-star game scouted by the NFL and players get the opportunity to play in front of many NFL and CFL scouts and the game consistently gets 12 - 15 NFL Teams in attendance. The FCS Bowl is presented by SPIRAL / East Preps LLC and founded by owner Michael Quartey Esq., also a former NFL Agent.
Former NFL Coach Mike Stock will return for the 4th year in a row to Head Coach the National Team while current AFL Albany Director of Football Operation Chris Thompson, will return to Head Coach the American in the 4th Annual FCS Bowl.
