Box Score The Wolves produced a season high 400 yards of offense but fell to Millersville 34-12 in the Wolves final home football game of the season. Freshman signal caller Dominick Trautz, starting his second game as a college quarterback, led the Wolves with 84 rushing yards on 11 carries and was 14-29 in the air for 203 yards. Millersville was able to capitalize on the Wolves two turnovers. The Wolves were also whistled for 12 penalties that helped lead to their demise.
Millersville scored the game's first points with a 26 yard field goal in the first quarter followed by a 24 yarder on their first possession of the second quarter.
On the Wolves ensuing possession, Cheyney tied the game at six. After a personal foul, the Wolves took over on their own 20 yard line. Trautz called his own number and scrambled 74 yards before being pushed out of bounds. On the next play, Rolando Ransom found the end-zone on a six yard rush.
The PAT failed but the ensuing kick-off was returned 85 yards by David Coates for a Millersville touchdown.
The Wolves looked to take the lead on their next possession. Cheyney marched down to the Millersville 10 where the Wolves were faced with a second and five from the Marauders 10. Trautz threw an interception in the end-zone to thwart the drive. The Marauders were able capitalize on the turnover. Millersville went 80 yards in just under two minutes capped with a Matt Misley seven yard strike to Mike Reichenbach. The score gave the Marauders a 20-6 lead at half. Misley was 24-34 on the afternoon for 223 yards and a touchdown. He was also a credited with 71 yards rushing.
Cheyney cut into the deficit on their first possession of the second half. The Wolves took over on their own 38 after stopping the Marauders on fourth down. Trautz completed back to back passes to Khalif Dandy (26 yards) and Even Bebee (14 yards) to set up a first and ten on the Marauders 22. Trautz called his own number rushing for 15 yards to set up a first and goal. Four plays later Khalil Rodgers scored from one yard out to cut the lead to 20-12.
Millersville added a touchdown on their first drive of the fourth quarter to extend the lead. Later in the quarter a Cheyney fumble on their own 17 was scooped up by the Marauders Neil Moloney was ran 17 yards to the end-zone for the game's final score.
Daryll Ellison led the Cheyney defense with 12 tackles.
Cheyney will end the season next week with a contest at Seton Hill.
The Wolves celebrated Senior Day in a pre-game ceremony. Cheyney recognized the 12 seniors on the squad. Brandon Collins, Vaughn McEachin, Ernest Washington, Robert Brooks, Isaiah Fleming, Andrea Simpson, Deshawn Beecher, Jamil Williams, Eugene Moten, Adam Dolphin and Jordan Morris all played their final game in O'Shields-Stevenson Stadium.
