Cheyney University football, volleyball and cross country teams are all in action on Saturday.
The football team hits the road for the first time this season traveling to Indiana (PA) for a 4:00 PM kick. If you are not traveling to IUP you can follow along via
audio or
live stats. The Wolves have not beaten the River Hawks the five previous meeting. Last week our Wolves put a scare into the Lions of Lincoln only to come up short. Cheyney's Isaiah Fleming posted a team high 15 tackles and leads the PSAC in tackles. Eugene Moten racked up 255 return yards 229 came on kick-off returns and has more kick-off return yards than anyone in the country. IUP gave-up 378 yards of total offense to Southern Connecticut State last week, 120.1 yards more than its 257.9 average in 2012. With the 30-20 win last week, IUP has moved up two spots to No. 8 on the AFCA Coaches Poll and one spot to No. 9 on the D2Football.com poll. Later this season the Wolves will face Bloomsburg and West Chester which are also nationally ranked.
Coach Braid and her volleyball squad are looking to chalk up their first victory of the season with a tri-match at Goldey Beacom College. The Lady Wolves dropped a fifth set match with the Lightening to open the season this past week. Thursday night the Lady Wolves travel to Philadelphia to face the University of the Sciences and again came up short. Cheyney will face Goldey Beacom at 11:00 AM before facing Delaware Valley College at 1:00 PM. Fans will be able to follow along via

The men's and women's cross country teams will be at it again this Saturday. For the second time in four days Cheyney will race on its' own course. Holy Family University will come to campus for an 11:00 AM start. The start and finish of the race is on the football practice field. The course winds its way through the outskirts of campus. Come out and cheer our student athletes on.
