Shippensburg (7-3:6-1) defeated Cheyney (0-10:0-7) 42-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference football action.

Marquis Garcia Palmer caught eight passes from Adler Thony for 46 yards and Marcus Jones rushed for 66 yards on 11 carries but it wasn't enough to propel the Wolves. Linebackers Isaiah Fleming and Javier Garcia again came up big for the Wolves. Fleming was credited with 16 tackles while Garcia was credited with 12.

Shippensburg's first score came midway through the opening period. Signal caller Zach Zulli was four of six on an eight play drive that was capped off on a 10 yard pass to Trevor Harman. The play before Zulli converted a fourth and seven from the Cheyney 31 connecting with Kyle Rush for 21 yards. Shippensburg tacked on another touchdown late in first quarter. The Red Radiers took over at the Cheyney 45 after a short punt. Eight plays later Maura took it in the end-zone from one yard out. On the Wolves second possession of the second quarter Cheyney looked like they were going to put points on the board. The Wolves took over on their own 42 after Garcia forced a fumble and Ariene Gardner fell on it. On the Wolves first play, Jones rushed off tackle for 50 yards down to the Red Raiders eight yard line. But the drive stalled and the Wolves missed a 39 yard field goal. Shippensburg would immediately make Cheyney pay. Zulli orchestrated a 14 play 79 yard drive in which he was seven for nine including a six yard touchdown strike to Harman. Shippensburg took a 21-0 lead into the locker room at half-time.

Shippensburg scored on back to back possessions late in the third quarter to make the lead 35-0 after three. The game's final score occurred after Shippensburg took advantage of short field which was set up when the Wolves could not get a punt off and Shippensburg took over on the Cheyney 21. Anthony Williams scored on a rush of 21 for the final margin of victory.

Red Raider quarterback Zulli completed 31 of 47 passes for 304 yards including four touchdowns. His favorite target on the day was Trevor Harman. Harman was the beneficiary of three touchdown strikes and 96 yards. Maura led the Raiders ground attack with 95 yards on 15 carries.

Next week the Wolves will host PSAC newcomer Seton Hill at Noon. Cheyney will recognize the 12 seniors on the squad in a pre-game ceremony. Shippensburg will host IUP.
