Adler Thony
Box Score

Junior linebacker Isaiah Fleming recorded 14 tackles but it wasn't enough as the Wolves fell 30-12 to Millersville (1-6:1-3) in their annual homecoming tilt.

The Marauders scored on their first three possession to take a 21-0 lead. The Wolves had a great chance to score as the half was coming to an end. Cheyney (0-7:0-4) recovered a fumble on the Marauders 41 yard line with 4:11 to play in the half. The Wolves were able to march down to the Millersville two yard line but could not punch it in the end-zone and turned the ball over on downs in the waning seconds of the half.

Midway through the third quarter Millersville was facing a first and 23 when David Coates rambled 42 yards to give the Marauders a 28-0 advantage. Coates ended the day with 61 yards on nine carries but it was Ian Sadon who paced the Millersville rushing attack with 134 yards on 20 carries including touchdown leaps of one and two yards. The Marauders third score was a twenty yard reception by Mike Reichenbach from Connor Casey.

The Wolves were not going to let themselves be shutout. On their first possession of the final quarter with the Wolves facing a third and goal, quarterback Adler Thony found Marquis Garcia-Palmer on a seven yard out pattern to put the Wolves on the board. However, the PAT was blocked and returned for a defensive PAT by Dean May to make the score 30-6. Cheyney added six more points after the Wolves Tristan Dillon McCallum forced another fumble. Joseph Bryant returned the fumble 27 yards to the Marauder 28 yard and two plays later Thony found Khalif Dandy in the end-zone on a 28 yard strike for the game's final points.

Javier Garcia added nine tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss for the Wolves. The Cheyney rushing attack was limited gaining 109 yards on 29 carries. Adler had one of the better days of his young career. The freshman signal caller was 14-27 for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Garcia Palmer caught five passes for 61 yards.

The Wolves play their final road game of the 2013 campaign next Saturday at Bloomsburg.
