Box Score Despite 14 kills by Breanna Joseph, 17 assists from Kennetha Wallace and 18 digs by Akia Harris the Lady Wolves came out on the short side of a 3-0 decision against Lock Haven in a PSAC volleyball contest.
Lock Haven jumped out to a 9-0 advantage in the first set and never looked back taking the first set 25-18. Cheyney did not throw in the towel but rallied cutting the deficit to 12-7 and then got even closer at 22-18 before falling 25-18.
In the second set, the Lady Wolves owned a 5-3 lead early on but the Eagles went on a 17-4 run to take control before winning the second set 25-11.
In the third set, Lock Haven once again jumped out to a lead (8-0). Cheyney did rally to cut the lead to 9-5. The Eagles scored the next eight points to take control of the set en route to a 25-12 victory.
Laura Harris and Lauren Dentler paced Lock Haven with 10 kills apiece.
Cheyney will be back at it tomorrow as the Lady Wolves host Pitt-Johnstown at 1:00 PM in Cope Hall.
