WILIMINGTON, Del. -Sr. Erica-Lyn Russell (New Windsor, N.Y., Newburgh Free Academy) raced to a 15th-place finish to lead the Cheyney University Women's Cross Country team to 7th-place at the 16^th Annual Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic Friday morning at Carousel Park in Wilmington, Delaware.

Russell led the Wolves with a time of 23 minutes 24 seconds and 6 tenths of a second, one tenth of a second faster than the time she ran at last years race.So. Nina-Simone Beaver (Jersey City, N.J., Henry Snyder) clocked a time of 23:53.1 to finish 38th, So. Sheala Miles (Brooklyn, N.Y., Brooklyn Law and Technical), finished in a time of 25:49.0 nearly three minutes better than her time of 28:35. 3 that she ran last year at the GBC Classic.

Fr. Kiyana Roberts (Jersey City, N.J., St. Anthony's) crossed the line in 26: 40.5 and So. Nickeela Austin (Copiague, N.Y., Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School) raced to a time of 27:37.9 as the top five team finishers made up the team score of 158, placing Cheyney 7^th overall.

Three Fr. Patricia Williams, Ariel Brown (Philadelphia, Pa, Maritime Academy) and Rebecca Evans (Quakertown, Pa., Quakertown) also competed in the event, as did Sr. Anitra Jackson (Philadelphia, Pa., O' Hara).

Bloomfield University captures the title with a score of 24.

The Wolves return to action on Saturday, September 30 at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational held in Newville, Pa. with the race scheduled to start at 11:15 AM.
