Entering his second year at the helm of Cheyney University Men’s Basketball, Jordan Bushrod continues to elevate the standard and culture of the Wolves’ program. In his first season as a head coach, Bushrod led Cheyney to a 6–19 record, marking the program’s most wins since the 2019–20 campaign and laying the foundation for the program’s long-term resurgence.

Bushrod arrived at Cheyney with a diverse and impactful coaching background across the collegiate, high school, and AAU levels. Prior to Cheyney, he served as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the College of Southern Maryland, where he played a pivotal role in player development, academic structure, and day-to-day program operations. His career also includes coaching stops at Delaware State University, Legacy Early College, and multiple nationally recognized grassroots basketball programs.

A standout student-athlete at Delaware State University, Bushrod was a four-year letterwinner and team captain for the Hornets. He earned both his B.S. in Sport Management and M.S. in Sport Administration from DSU and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Higher Education (Ed.D.) at his alma mater, with a research focus on student-athlete development and life-after-sport preparation.

Coach Bushrod continues to strengthen Cheyney’s men’s basketball identity, build recruiting momentum, and set a renewed standard of accountability, toughness, and community engagement for the Wolf-Pack.He is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), and the Black Coaches Association (BCA).
