SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –Cheyney University men's basketball team could not overcome a balanced Shippensburg Raiders attack in an 84-50 loss inside Heiges Field House in PSAC East action Saturday afternoon.

Jeff Lewis made 7-of-11 shots from the field and collected a team-high matching seven rebounds to pace the Wolves (2-12, 2-8 PSAC E).

Nine Shippensburg (11-3, 7-2 PSAC E) players made a three-point shot as the Raiders made 15 from downtown, while the Wolves did not make any in 12 attempts.

Cheyney held a 6-5 lead with a 6-2 run after the Raiders opened the scoring with a three-pointer.

Kyle Parker started the run with a jump shot, followed by a steal and layup from Cliff St. Juste and capped by a layup from Amir Boney to give Cheyney the lead with 15:48 to play. 

Shippensburg then went on a 16-2 run to take over the game.

Parker matched Lewis with seven rebounds and added a team-high four assists, Zahir Stewart scored seven points and grabbed four boards.

Cheyney continues to play on the road this week as the games with Kutztown on Wednesday, Jan. 17 originally scheduled to be played at Cope Hall has been moved to Keystone
Arena, with the Golden Bears playing at Cheyney on Feb. 17.

On Saturday Jan. 20, the Wolves head to Lock Haven for a 2:30 pm tipoff with the Bald Eagles, Lock Haven will be at Cheyney on Feb. 21.
