CHEYNEY, Pa. – The Lady Wolves connected on 9 of its first 10 free-throws in the first three quarters, but made just 2 of its final 10 attempts from the charity stripe and fell 62-57 to visiting Mansfield University Friday night in PSAC east action inside Alfred Cope Hall.

Despite the troubles from the line, the Lady Wolves reeled off six straight points to take a 56-55 lead with 5:01 to play.

Bella Ricci rebounded her own miss then gave Mansfield the lead for good 58-56 with her third three-pointer of the game at the 4:20 mark.
Cheyney missed five of six free-throws in the final three-minutes and Ricci put the game away with two free-throws with 13 seconds remaining for the final score of 62-57.
Ellis led the Lady Wolves with 14 pointsmaking 4-of-8 from downtown, Gross added a game-high 3 blocks to her double-double, Herring dished out four assists to with her double-double, while Stamper also had four helpers.
Cheyney heads to Kutztown on Monday night at 5:30 to open a busy week that includes a home game against Lock Haven on Wednesday and closes with a trip to West Chester on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tipoff with the golden Rams.
