Despite double doubles from Deshawn Curtis and Calvin Brown, Cheyney (3-19:3-9) fell 66-62 to Mansfield (6-16:4-8). Curtis scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Brown netted 15 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.
Mansfield's Joe Bell led all players with 26 points.
With the game tied at 19, Cheyney went on a 15-6 run to take a nine point lead, the biggest lead any team had all afternoon. Mansfield was able to cut the deficit to five (34-29)at half-time before eventually tying it up at 39 three minutes into the second half. Cheyney was able to regain the lead and stretch the advantage to six before the Mounties would tie it up again at 47 with twelve minutes to play. After Jerrod Johnson hit a pair of free throws at the 4:48 mark the game was once again tied. All in all the game was knotted ten different times. The Wolves then turned the ball over on three consecutive possessions and Mansfield was able to run off five unanswered points. Cheyney was able to cut the lead to 66-64 with :09 showing on the clock after Johnson once again made a pair from the charity stripe. But Mansfield's Ryan Krawczeniuk made a foul shot for the final margin of victory.
