Kevin Larkin scored 24 points, 15 in the first half, before fouling out late in the contest as Cheyney (1-6) fell to Lincoln (5-4) 74-72 in the Annual Battle of the Firsts. 

The Wolves had a chance to send the game to overtime but Rasahn Brinkley's put back off a miss free throw was off the mark.  Lincoln made 5 of 8 free throws in the final 41 seconds to preserve the victory. 

Darryl Bryant and Juwan Mullen added 12 and 11 points respectively for the Wolves.  The Lions were led with a quartet in double figures.  Rysheen Dorn came off the bench to score a team high 16 points while team mates Kyle Aiken, Chaz Sharp and Tony Efese added 15, 12 and 11 respectively.  With the game tied at 8, Cheyney went on a 14-6 run to take an eight point lead. However, Lincoln battled back to knot the game at 27 before taking a 33-31 lead into the locker room at half-time. 

Cheyney quickly went on a 12-2 run to start the second half and take an eight point lead again.  Cheyney was able to stretch the lead to nine (54-45) after a Mullen lay-up with 13:18 showing on the clock.  However, the Lions would not go away and went on a 12-3 to tie the game at 57 with 7:36 to play.  With five minutes to play and the game tied at 61, Dorn gave the Lions the lead for good sinking one of two from the charity stripe.  Lincoln was able to stretch the lead to six, 71-65, with 41 seconds to plays.  It was their largest lead of the night.  Cheyney would not quit and had a chance at the buzzer to send the game to over-time.
