Felicia Jenkins

Felicia B. Jenkins is entering her first season at Cheyney University as an assistant coach. Jenkins prior coaching resume includes a two year stint at Kingsway Regional High School compelling an overall record of 36-17 overall.  Coach Jenkins also captured the South Jersey Coach of the Year award in 2016-2017.
Prior to coaching at Kingsway, Coach Jenkins was an assistant at Jackson State University, where she helped the Lady Tigers finish above.500 in their second regular season as well posting the best seeding for the tournament in previous years. Coach Jenkins served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Benedict College for seven years prior to joining the staff at Jackson State.
 During her tenure at the helm of the Benedict College women’s Basketball Program, she captured two SIAC Championships (2007, 2010), named SIAC Women's Tournament Outstanding Coach (2007, 2010) and Employee of the Year (2007, 2010).
Jenkins began her coaching career an assistant women's basketball coach at her alma mater, Claflin University, where the team won conference championships in 2002, 2003 and 2004.  Her duties included managing academics, and creating an orientation process for incoming student-athletes, travel budget, study hall for the women basketball team, strength and conditioning, Defensive strategist, and working with player development as well as recruiting. Coach Jenkins enjoyed additional coaching experiences including Orangeburg Consolidated District # 4, and Eau Claire High School.
Jenkins obtained her B.A. degree in Sociology from Claflin University in May 1993.  As a student-athlete at Claflin, she was recognized as an All-Conference Player (1990 & 1991) and an All-Tournament team selection (1990 & 1991). For her contributions to the women's basketball program, she was inducted into the Claflin Hall of Fame in 2009.
Jenkins also served as skills instructor for the Dawn Staley, 5 Star Basketball Camps, Coach Jay wright Villanova Basketball Camp, and the National Blue Star 30 camp for future Rising Stars.
Outside of Basketball, Jenkins also served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer and received the following honors:  Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medals as well as the U.S. Army Lapel Button.
Jenkins has over 20 years of coaching experience on the collegiate and high school level. Coach Jenkins has four children, Kris Jenkins 24, Kaiya Jenkins 19, Kelci Jenkins 17, and Kori Jenkins (deceased).
