Cheyney responded immediately in the second set with its strongest stretch of the match. The Wolves controlled the frame behind aggressive serving and efficient attacking, rolling to a 25-12 victory to even the match at one set apiece.

Washington Adventist regained momentum in the third set, taking the frame 25-20 despite Cheyney opening with an early push. The Wolves continued to battle in the fourth set and closed the gap late behind plays from Coaxum, Sophia Andrews-Sullivan, and Amelia Andrews-Sullivan, but Washington Adventist held on for another 25-20 decision to secure the match.

Although Cheyney came up short, the match showed the Wolves' ability to produce offensively, respond after a narrow opening-set loss, and compete on the road against an unbeaten opponent. Cheyney will look to build on the efficiency and balanced production displayed throughout the match as the Wolves continue into weekend as they compete in a tri-match against Goucher College and Gwynedd Mercy.
