"We were far from perfect today, commented Coach Adams. "But I am happy we found a way to pull out a victory. We weren't able to stretch the lead in the first half the way we wanted. In the second half we faced some adversity…..we were down six , we had Kyra (Hines-Allen), Destiny (McFarlane) and Alexis (Peterson) in foul trouble and were forced to play people out of position. We showed a little maturity and effort today. Amber (Grenwright) and Kia (Whitley-Duncan) really stepped it up today. Lachelle made a clutch three-pointer that put us up for good. I'm really proud of our kids and their ability to play through today's adversities."
Cheyney will host cross town rival West Chester on Wednesday night. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 pm.
