Mansfield (5-18:3-16) snapped a ten game skid and took revenge for a loss earlier in the season to Cheyney (1-21:1-18) by defeating the Lady Wolves 75-58.

Kyra Hines-Allen and Nicole Tyndle paced Cheyney with 15 and 13 points respectively. 

Tyndle hit a pair of free throws with 6:51 in the first half to give the Lady Wolves their biggest lead of the game (22-17). But a 12-9 Mountaineer run over the next three minutes gave Mansfield a 29-25 lead. The Mounties were able to push the lead up to seven before settling on a 35-30 lead at intermission.

Cheyney was able to knot the game at 40 after an Alexis Peterson jumper at the 16:23 mark of the second half. However, the Mounties would go on an 8-0 to take control of the contest. Cheyney was able to cut the lead to after a Hines-Allen lay-up with 9:47 to play. But the Lady Wolves would not get any closer.

Katie Fitzpatrick led the Mounties with 18 points and 10 rebounds to record her first collegiate double double. The Mounties played of their better halves of the season shooting 55% from the field in the final 20 minutes.

The Lady Wolves will travel to Kutztown on Wednesday.
